Two volumes bound in three. Duodecimo. Uniformly bound in very attractive 18th century full red morocco, lettered and decorated gilt. All edges gilt.

A near fine set, the bindings in excellent condition, internally fresh.

A fine set of Boxhorn’s edition of the Augustan Histories. This example has the first and third volumes only, wanting the second (Suetonius) and fourth (Ammian). In this regard it contains only the works generally considered to part of the Augustan Histories, and based on the numeration of the binding, this set has been ever thus.
