A single leaf fragment on parchment, c. 545 x 387 mm, decorated with a geometric six line initial in black ink to the verso.
Ruled in lead point, c. 456 x 274 mm (visible), with music in square notation on five-line staves ruled in red with lyrics in black ink in prescissa script and rubrics in red.
The decorated initial opens the cantus, ‘Esto igitur ia[m] securus de premio quia mox’, (’Therefore, be assured of the prize now, because soon’). A good example of a large antiphonal leaf, the margins have been cropped with a significant corner tear loss, some offsetting, there is rubbing to the text, and some discolouration to the parchment, pricking to the letter, water damage.
