A single leaf fragment on parchment, c. 551 x 386 mm, with a six line red initial, decorated with a geometric pattern in purple to the recto.
Ruled in lead point, c.460 x 270 mm (visible), with music in square notation on five-line staves ruled in red with lyrics in black ink in prescissa script and rubrics in red.
The decorated initial to the recto opens the cantus, ‘Beatus dei athleta Vincentius’, (‘Blessed Vincent, athlete of God’). A good example of a large antiphonal leaf, the margins have been cropped, significant tear to the corner but no text loss, text to recto rubbed, some water damage, some discolouration to the parchment.
