PROVENANCE: Wedding gifts given to Elizabeth Wheake Yorke, nee Rattray (1778-1812) on her marriage to Joseph Sydney Yorke (1768-1831). The first volume is inscribed "Elizabeth Yorke, The Gift of my Mother on the day of my marriage, March 28th 1798". Across the following pages are recorded in manuscript the births, christenings, vaccinations and, in two cases, early deaths of her seven children.
