Selling Rare Books & Manuscripts
We are keen, active, and transparent buyers of high quality first editions, manuscripts, and books that have incredible stories to tell. We buy individual items, collections, and entire libraries from all over the world, and pay by fast bank transfer both domestically and internationally.
We know that selling your rare books is a big decision, whether you are looking for the right home for a family heirloom, or parting with a collection that has been put together with connoisseurship.
And so we have made selling to us a transparent experience, designed to keep the process smooth, while maximising the price you receive for your books, and ensuring they go to a good home. The process is as follows:
1. Contact us using the form below with details of what you are looking to sell.
2. A member of our team will be in touch to discuss sale options, either:
'Direct Sale': We buy the book outright from you, typically paying 50% of the retail price.
'Consignment Sale': We take the book into stock, offer it for sale, and pay you 75% of the sale price.
3. Once an agreement is in place, we will arrange to either meet you to collect the book(s); arrange for a courier to collect them; or invite you to our bookshop to conclude the sale in person.
4. Payment is then made immediately by bank transfer or international wire.
If you are ready to sell, please fill in the form below.
