First Brock edition. Very attractively bound by Morrell in contemporary gilt-ruled half-vellum, contrasting red morocco lettering-piece, mauve cloth boards. Gilt decoration and lettering to the spine in a delicate Art Nouveau style. Marbled endpapers, top edge gilt.
 
Engraved title page in red and black, colour frontispiece, seven further colour plates, and numerous in-text illustrations by C.E. Brock. A clean, near fine copy, a couple of light marks to the vellum.
