’Surprise Gift’ edition of A Christmas Carol. Octavo. Bound in blue cloth, lettered gilt, in the original buff printed dustwrapper.

A very good copy, some browning internally, in a very good dustwrapper, some wear to extremities and repaired tears to jacket.

This is a ’Surprise Gift’ edition of A Christmas Carol, where you can pull back the dustwrapper to discover the gilt-decorated copy of the book inside. This was provided free-of-charge to subscribers for the Odhams Press’s Complete Works Of Charles Dickens, and was sent to them with the final four volumes of that set, “FREE as a Gift Book for a child”.
