First edition. Folio. Bound in full contemporary calf, blind rules to covers, six raised bands to spine. The pastedowns are unused printed sheets of the Apocrypha from a contemporary King James Bible. This copy also has extensive annotations by a contemporary reader to the first 26pp. Throughout the rest of the book there are more occasional marks and notes by later readers. The final leaf has a contemporary drawing of a war ship.
 
A very good copy, joints rubbed and corners bumped. A little foxed and marked internally. F1 with loss to the margin, not affecting the text.
 
An interesting copy of Baker’s Chronicle, with some extensive annotations by an early reader to the chapters on pre-Norman Kings.
