Octavo. First edition. Bound in limp vellum with yapped edges. One partial vellum tie remaining. Binding reinforced with two pieces of manuscript waste appearing from the same parent manuscript. The upper fragment measures c. 38/17 x 165 mm, and the lower measures c. 23/12 x 165 mm.

A very good example. The vellum covers are discoloured and marked some shallow chips to edges. Some significant loss to rear end paper. Some internal tears to pages. Monreith House Library shelf tag laid loosely inside.

PROVENANCE: Sir William Maxwell of Monreith (1715-1771).
