Two bifolia, conjugate but separate, manuscript fragments on parchment, c. 194 x 292 mm / c. 381 x 292 mm, with text from the Bible I Chronicles X-XIX
They are ruled in two columns of forty lines, (c. 210 x 150 mm) in gothic textualis script in brown ink, guide letters in brown ink in the margins, chapter headings in red, alternating red and blue three-line initials. Multiple blemish holes and sewn repairs to the parchment.
 
The text on the first leaf opens at the end of Chapter 10:13, ‘[mor]tuus e[st] [er]g[o] saul p[ro]pt[er] iniq[ui]tates suas.’ ‘Saul therefore died because of his iniquities.’ The final leaf ends on Chapter 19:5, ‘grande[m] [e]n[im] co[n]tumelia[m] sustinuera[n]t et p[rae]cepit ut mane[re]nt in’, ‘For they had endured a great insult, and he ordered them to remain in’.
 
A very good manuscript example. The outer margin has loss and darkened across the different bifolia, with some text impacted. Chips and nibbles to edges. Rippling to parchment due to exposure.
