A single leaf on parchment, c. 159 x 114 mm (c. 105 x 73 mm) with two three-line initials in red or blue.
Ruled in ink for two columns of 32, written in a gothic script in brown ink, rubrics and pagination in red, and 8 single line initials alternating in red or blue and occasionally brown ink.
The text refers to the arrest of John by Herod; ‘Herodes [...] tenuit [e]t ligavit Joa[nn]em [e]t posuit in carcer[em] p[ro]pt[er] herodiades’.
A very good example of a manuscript leaf. The parchment is generally bright, the lower left corner is wanting, and the script is marginally rubbed.
