First edition. Bound by Sayer & Wilson of Cambridge in half calf over marbled paper covered boards. Title labels to the spines (though now missing to the third volume). Ownership inscription dated 1911 to the first volume, bookplate of one James Stevenson to the third and fourth volumes.

An incomplete set of first editions of Les Miserables. The first two volumes of this original printing in Brussels were published at the end of March 1862, and the Paris editon followed in early April.
