A single leaf on parchment, c. 159 x 113 mm (c. 105 x 74 mm) with three three-line initials alternating in red or blue, with the red three-line initial having elaborate purple pen ornaments extending in the outer margin.
Ruled in ink for two columns of 32, written in a gothic script in brown ink, rubrics and pagination in red, and 28 single line initials alternating in red or blue. There is a scribal correction to the upper margin of the recto, and catchword to the lower margin of the verso with a pen trail border.
The red decorated three-line initial to the recto opens ‘Veritas tua, q[uaesumu]s, D[omi]ne, luceat’, (’Let your truth, we pray, O Lord, shine forth’).
A very good example of a manuscript leaf. There is discolouration to the parchment and a small marked spot. The inner margin has been crudely trimmed.
