A single leaf on parchment, c. 335 x 236 mm, with a four line initial in blue and red, with foliage decoration to the centre, and elaborate red penwork ornaments extending into the margins.
It is ruled in ink, c. 228 x 166 mm (ruled), for two columns of 29, written in a gothic script in black ink, rubrics in red, and two-line initials in blue or red with elaborate pen flourishes in blue or red.
The text goes from the 12 Brothers (In sanctorum martyrum XII fratrum), to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. Her feast day opens from the large decorated initial, and reads ‘Osculetur me osculo oris sui’, (‘Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth’).
A very good example, the parchment is browned to the recto, creasing to the parchment, some significant wear to the script, particularly to the verso, some marks.
