A single leaf on parchment, c. 159 x 113 mm (c. 105 x 74 mm) with one three-line initial in blue.
Ruled in ink for two columns of 32, written in a gothic script in brown ink, rubrics and pagination in red, and 38 single line initials alternating in red or blue with some purple line decoration to the red letters. There are various scribal corrections, with two in the margins of the verso.
The text to the verso with the three-line initial opens Psalm 2.1, ‘Benedic, a[n]i[m]a m[e]a, D[omi]no, [e]t o[mn]ia q[uae] i[n]tra me su[n]t no[min]i sa[nct]o ej[u]s’, (’Bless the Lord, my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name’).
A very good example. There is some discolouration to the parchment, particularly to the lower margin, some rubbing to the script, some corrosion of the ink, most likely due to iron gall, this impacts the legibility of the text in places.
