A single leaf fragment on parchment, c. 508 x 346 mm, with a six line blue initial, decorated with a geometric pattern in red and purple to the recto, with a geometric six line initial in black ink to the verso.
Ruled in lead point, c. 460 x 275 mm (visible), with music in square notation on five-line staves ruled in red with lyrics in black ink in prescissa script and rubrics in red.
The recto opens the text for the cantus, ‘[lau]des deo altissimo et resonante organo vocis angelic[e] modulata’, (’Praises to God Most High, and the resounding organ of an angelic voice, modulated’). A good example of a large antiphonal leaf, the margins have been cropped with a corner tear, some offsetting, there is rubbing to the text, and some discolouration to the parchment.
