A single volume from Robert Bellarmine’s Disputationes. Octavo. Bound in contemporary blindstamped pigskin, with the figure of Lady Justice to each cover. Original metal clasps. All edges red. A very good copy, faded manuscript title labels to spine.

 

PROVENANCE: Formerly owned by the franciscan conventual friars of the holy cross in vienna, with their bookplate to the front pastedown, and “Conventus S. Crucis Vienna” inscribed to title page.
