Octavo. Bound by Birdsall and Son of Northampton in attractive green morocco, decorated in gilt with flower motifs to the covers and spine. Gilt turn ins. All edges gilt. The corners of each cover are stamped with the initials “H.d.C.S.”. The front pastedown is stamped in gilt, “From Margaret Talbot January 1, 1894”, and the first blank is inscribed “To my dearest friend in France”.
 
A very good copy, light rubbing to the joints.
