A Zaehnsdorf Exhibition Binding. Large octavo. Bound by Zaehnsdorf for exhibition in full red morocco, lettered and decorated gilt. Signed by Zaehnsdorf to the front inner dentelle, and also with their blindstamp showing a binder using a backing hammer to the rear pastedown, indicating that this is an exhibition binding.
 
A good only copy, rebacked, preserving most of the original spine, with the head and tail restored to style with cloth and gilt decoration.
